Po doskonale przyjętych zmianach w wersji 2009 twórcy gry, Sports Interactive, kontynuuje strategię dopasowania gry do upodobań graczy i ekspertów. W Football Manager 2010 zmiany będą dotyczyły interface'u, przebudowany będzie również system taktyczny - wszystko zgodnie z sugestiami community Football Managera. Nowością będzie tryb Match Analysis, który pozwoli na analizowanie zachowania zawodników obu drużyn w czasie meczy w czasie rzeczywistym, jak i przeglądanie ich długo po zakończeniu meczu. Wszelkie dane, niezbędne dla każdego manadżera, takie jak liczba celnych i niecelnych podań, oddanych strzałów i celnych dośrodkowań - będą teraz przystępnie przedstawione i łatwo dostępne w dowolnym momencie gry.
